As the years passed, I realized I might have been looking in the wrong direction.
Many of humanity’s greatest breakthroughs did not begin with answers.

Recently, I noticed something interesting.
Every day, we witness hundreds of events.
We hear dozens of stories.
We move through countless experiences.
Most of them disappear almost immediately.
We call them ordinary life.
A child drops a toy.
A mother waits for her son to call.
A customer decides not to buy.
An employee resigns.
A friend cancels a meeting.
A car stops for fuel.
Most people see the story.
A few people see the pattern.
And those patterns are often where the most valuable discoveries begin.

Questions That Last For Centuries
Ancient Greek philosophers looked at the world and asked:

It sounds simple.

That question helped create SpaceX.
What is remarkable is that technology came later.
The process usually began with observation.
Then a question.
Only afterward came innovation.
What Is The Most Valuable Mine In The Age Of AI?
Today, AI can write.
AI can translate.
AI can summarize.
AI can generate images.
AI can create videos.
AI can express ideas in ways that once required years of practice.
Many people see this as the advantage.
I see it as the tool.
When everyone can create content, what becomes rare?
For a long time, I thought the answer was knowledge.
Eventually, I realized that knowledge is becoming increasingly abundant.
The internet made information widely available.
AI is making expression increasingly inexpensive.
The rarest thing is not the ability to:
write
translate
summarize
generate images
create videos
The rarest thing is original human data.
AI can learn from the internet.
But AI does not live a human life.
AI does not know what it feels like for a father to watch his child fail twenty times and still smile before trying again.
AI does not know what it feels like for a son to care for an aging mother while everyone else is busy.
AI does not know what it feels like for a husband to transfer all of his savings to his wife before entering surgery.
AI does not know what it feels like for a worker to give away the most valuable possession he owns to the person he loves before leaving for an uncertain future.
Those experiences do not originate inside a model.
They do not emerge from a prompt.
They do not come from the internet.
They come from life itself.
That is original human data.
The Most Important Skill
I believe this may become one of the most important skills of the AI era.
Not learning how to write better prompts.
Not learning how to produce content faster.
But learning how to observe more deeply.
After every experience.
After every conversation.
After every success.
After every failure.
After every ordinary moment.
Ask yourself:
Is this merely a story?
Or is it revealing a pattern that might apply to thousands—or even millions—of people?
Because the greatest companies.
The most important discoveries.
The books that endure.
And the ideas that change the world.
Rarely begin with an answer.
They begin with an observation.
Then a question.
Perhaps this is the great paradox of the AI age.
As AI becomes more powerful, original human data becomes more valuable.
As content becomes abundant, genuine experience becomes scarce.
And eventually, I came to a simple realization.
The most valuable mine in the age of AI is not located on the internet.
It exists inside the observations accumulated through a consciously lived life.
Because everything AI creates begins with data.
But the most valuable data humanity has ever produced begins with life itself.
Perhaps the real question is not how much content we can create.
But whether we are paying enough attention to the experiences that only a human life can generate.
